In plain terms: when you submit the estimate form, we sell the information you provide, including your name, contact details, and property address, to independent roofing contractors so they can follow up about your project. That sale is how this free service is funded. You can opt out at any time on our Do Not Sell or Share page.
Categories of personal information we collect
- Identifiers: name, email address, phone number, and property address.
- Commercial information: details about your roofing project, such as home size, roof characteristics, pitch, and the material you are considering.
- Internet or network activity: pages visited, session interactions, and device information collected through cookies and analytics tools, including Microsoft Clarity when you consent to it.
- Approximate geolocation: the general location derived from the property address you enter.
Where we get it
- Directly from you, when you fill out our forms.
- Automatically, through cookies and analytics tools when you consent to them.
- From Google Places and Google Solar APIs, which return address and roof measurement data based on the address you provide.

- To analyze and improve how the site works.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We sell personal information
We sell the lead information you submit, meaning your identifiers and commercial information, to third parties in this category of recipients: licensed roofing contractors and home improvement service providers operating in your area. We do not sell internet activity data collected by analytics tools. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger a right to limit under California law, and we do not knowingly sell the personal information of anyone under 18.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA gives you these rights:
- Right to know: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we sold it to.
- Right to delete: request that we delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct: request that we fix inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing: direct us not to sell or share your personal information. Use the Do Not Sell or Share page or email us.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not use sensitive personal information beyond what the law permits without a limit request, but you may submit one at any time.
- Right to non-discrimination: we will never penalize you, deny you service, or charge you differently for exercising any of these rights.

We will take reasonable steps to verify that a request came from you or your authorized agent, typically by matching the details you provide against the record we hold. We respond within the timelines required by law, generally 45 days for access, deletion, and correction requests, with an extension notice if we need more time, and 15 business days for opt-out requests.
Global Privacy Control
We treat the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. If your browser sends a GPC signal, our site automatically declines non-essential tracking for that visit without any action needed from you.
Cookies and analytics
We use a small set of tools, and none of the non-essential ones load until you choose Accept in our cookie banner:
- Microsoft Clarity: session replay and heatmaps that show us how visitors use the site. Loads only after you consent.
- Google Maps Platform: the Places and Solar APIs power address lookup and roof measurement when you enter an address.
- Advertising pixels: if we add ad measurement pixels in the future, they will load only after consent, through the same gate.
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, and then we delete it. Lead records are retained while they remain useful for connecting you with contractors and for legal compliance, after which they are removed.
Children
This site is intended for homeowners and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Do Not Track and GPC
Browsers offer various privacy signals. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as described above. Older Do Not Track signals have no settled legal meaning, and we treat GPC as the operative signal.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged with a notice on the site.
